Californian ease accompanies this young family’s cross-continental move, suffusing the layout of this sun-drenched urban apartment. The home stays true to a neutral monotone haven, blending luxurious, layered materials with a design philosophy of creating balanced spaces.
Accents of oak, tan, and greys brew an easeful palette in the living space, with the city’s views framed through the balcony. The dining area features a 9-foot oak table with metal legs, upholstered grey chairs, and diaphanous fabric pendants overhead. The tessellated chevron floors in a grey gradient flow into the kitchen. Warm grey cabinets and subway tiles complete the elevations with a waterfall-edge island front and centre.
In the bedrooms, wood’s veined character assumes the spotlight, the material’s omnipresence celebrated against neutral and colour-streaked shells. A consistent design language ties the home together, strengthening a layered, seamless spatial flow.
